The main symbol of the Japanese spring is cherry blossoms and Tokyo is full of them, to the delight of the citizens of the city who each year celebrate the event under the sacred trees.
The 36-year-old photographer Chikushi took beautiful pictures of two kittens playing among the cherry trees. The pictures went viral on Twitter with the post getting 47.1K Retweets and 164.9K Likes.
The photographer made it clear on her social media that the kittens are not stray but are cared for by a man who resides in southern Izu.
