My daughter (12) is getting better at tennis so she needed a new racket

The coach wanted to buy it himself so I don’t buy the wrong one or get scammed… so basically weeks go by and he still hasn’t bought it, I tell him I’ll buy one, just tell me which one to buy. He goes oh, no, I'll buy one soon.
Fast forward, he buys it and asks me to Zelle him $300. I do with no hesitation... first mistake

By the way, money is not a problem at all. If $300 was the price, I would be fine.
Just to check, I searched up the exact racket and it cost $150!

I asked the coach for a copy of the receipt and he said he lost it… then I asked for the store and, I quote, he said “I’m hurt you don’t trust me. I don’t think we should work together anymore.” Now my daughter doesn’t have a coach?!? Eventually, his WIFE sent me back the money. So, pandas, AITA??
