Brazilian Artist Creates Series Of Illustrations Showing The Character Doug Funnie As An Adult (10 Pics)

The Doug Funnie cartoon marked a generation in the 90s. We watched the episodes on Nickelodeon where its debut was over 30 years ago. At 11 years of age, the boy Doug presents the episodes by writing intimacies in his diary. The drawing stirred the children's imagination, portraying situations from the reality of their age, such as challenges at school, their first crush, having fun with friends, bullying, among other topics.

In a mood of nostalgia, we at Bored Panda present to you, dear readers, this iconic character from our childhoods in an adult version.The Brazilian illustrator Deivid Leite, manages in adorable illustrations like Doug Funnie, his now wife Patti Mayonnaise, his biggest rival Roger Klotz would be in adulthood. His dog Porkchop appears in a tattoo, we believe he would already be in dog heaven.

A long time ago there was an expectation that its creator Jim Jinkins would create a series with the children of the cartoon becoming adults. What happened to Doug? What college did he graduate from? What is his profession nowadays? The idea would also be to adapt the drawing for a movie with real actors in theaters. However, the plans were not completed.
