Changing For The Better: Women Across The World Collaborate For Climate Crisis Message

For about a year, I (Angelica Pasquali) have been collaborating with influential women all over the globe to relay a powerful message about environmental awareness and action that everyone should hear. This all started back in April 2018, when National Geographic created their Women of Impact Facebook group, which inspired me to utilize the platform to connect with other women for a better cause. Together, they have been working on creating and organizing content from the oceans of Hawaii to the mountains of Palestine. Finally, the monumental video titled “Changing For The Better Together” was released!

There are multiple strong messages in this video and they all revolve around environmental awareness and action. The women encourage not only local action, but also global results. Whether it’s adapting to individual, sustainable lifestyles or reaching out to government representatives about environmental issues such as climate change, wildlife, and pollution. The message these women send is clear, we all need to work together do our part in any way we can. The featured Women of Impact are: Alana Eagle, Emilie Johnsen, Jaclyn Lee, Maysan Nashashibi, and Angelica Pasquali. Each woman contributes to improving the environment in her own unique methods, which is explained in their own introduction videos also on Angelica Pasquali’s Youtube channel.

This project is a big feat to accomplish, but was made possible by National Geographic’s platform. Although National Geographic did not sponsor this video and it is not an official National Geographic video, the Women of Impact wanted to actively show how powerful coming together can be even when we are spread across the world. Each Woman of Impact hopes this video inspires active change in peoples’ mindsets and actions to be a part of a global effort towards a sustainable future. We are all capable of changing for the better, but we must do it together.
