They definitely deal with some traumatic things on the daily that are extremely difficult to overcome. Just the mental health stressors alone are enough to send them over the edge, but add to that dealing with pressures from superior officers, peers, society, and additional compounding traumas daily, and it's a hêll of a hard life. There are many fine officers out there. No disrespect intended but there are also problematic people there also, as in any job, but more worrisome in this field due to the power they have. I highly respect the ones that are working so hard to provide safety and care for us.
