Hey Pandas, What's The Weirdest Thing You Believed In As A Kid (Closed)

The real response, and the real misunderstanding from people is thinking that since they are "milk cattle" and "beef cattle", that means some cows produce only meat, and some only milk, wich is not true : some cows produce meat, and the other cows produce both meat AND milk. So, if someone thinks consuming milk only (and no meat, as a vegetarian) means no animal will die, it's untrue, and that's was my point. From my point of view, saying they're different cows for dairy and meat is fallacious because at the end all cows will be slaughtered and used for the meat industry. Also, in France, smaller dairy farms cannot keep the meat from their butchered dairy cows to be used for the family, the laws just don't work that way, you have to bring your cow to the official slaughterhouse and then the meat will join the meat industry circuit.

In France, checks are often used to pay for many things, including purchases in stores. My parents were poor, and their excuse (which wasn't really one) for not buying me what I wanted was, "I don't have any money." But I would respond, "Just write a check." I thought the checkbook was a kind of unlimited money reserve: you could write any amount on the check, and it would "create" money out of thin air.

Hello, the problem with Bored Panda is that since everyone speaks in English, everyone assumes we're all from the same country. This allows you to "fact-check" my post even though you don't know which country I'm from or how the law regulates beef production in my country. As it happens, I live in France: ALL dairy cows end their careers in slaughterhouses for meat production, 70% of calves born in the dairy sector are destined for the butcher (veal meat), and nearly half (40%) of the beef in France comes from the dairy sector.
