Replace "Mom" with "Dad". How does that sound: "Should fathers have careers?" Weird, right? How come it's always the women we shame for their decisions in this matter? BOTH partners (in a typical relationship) are the parent of their child. BOTH are responsible. How they divide up the work of child-raising is entirely up to them, and it's unfair to put all these demands on mothers while "allowing" dad a fulltime career or never even asking if perhaps HE would rather be a house-husband.
