Possibly, but it is very hard to tell on the internet if someone is being serious or not. I think there is a term for this, it is called poe's law. Anyway, if they are joking then I missed the humor. If not, they are just being dumb.
Wow, these commenters are sure missing the point. One, he is not hurting his eyes any more or less that just using a screen. YOU are using a screen at this very moment. YOU are doing the very thing you are criticizing this kid for. Are you blind right now? Are you going blind? Smh
