Fresh out of college, unemployed, newly living with now husband, the one chore we fought about was dishes. I finally get a temp job at a big biotech company. I don't really know much about the job, but I'm glad to be employed. I make a quip about "Anything would be better than staying home doing the dishes." First day, led to a prep room and asked to wash a huge neglected stack of dirty glassware.

Dude, I'm in the USA and I had to wait over a year to get treatment for my chronic illness and pay thousands for it out of pocket. You have no point
I believe most of the stuff served at fairs were done on a dare
