Anti-Bucket List: 35 People Share The Most Disappointing Touristy Places They've Been To

I live in Amsterdam. Tourists rarely experience the ‘real’ Amsterdam anymore and most of them don’t seem to search it. I avoid the city centre at all costs during evenings / nights / Friday and Saturday. During that time, the city centre is not a city but some kind of weird amusement park. Please don’t visit the red light district. Please don’t smoke or drink things. Please don’t buy a stupid hat made of wool with ‘Amsterdam’ on it. Please don’t urinate in gardens of real people that live in the old centre. Please don’t rent bikes because even for Dutch people it’s dangerous to cycle here. What you SHOULD do? Go visit other parts of the city, like Oud West, Zuid or Spaandammerbuurt. Talk to locals, visit local bars. Interact. Or visit other beautiful cities like Haarlem, Leiden, Delft, Rotterdam, Utrecht. Please.
