scab = someone who continues to work when the other workers are on strike. kellogg fired people that weren't accepting the offers from the scabs to end the strike. Kellogg posted applications to replace the fired workers, and people started flooding the website with fake applications.

The arrows are showing a trick where you can swap the charges to get the number of each element in the compound (for example Ca 2+ and n -3, when combined they make Ca3N2)

Isn't this the same image as a guy who said "Someone put a 'help yourself' note on my package of Tim Tams" under a mildly infuriating thingy?

Hey bored panda, why was this article shortened? It used to be at 93, but it got shortened to 40 and there's no way to view the rest of the posts.

explanation: a couple years ago there was a girl who got a nasa internship but used profanity to announce it. she then unknowingly replied to a nasa engineer with more profanity which caused her to lose her internship. OP is saying that they don't want to make the same mistake she did.

The artist is from Singapore, and like Fran said, english (like other languages) does have homonyms. However, the Japanese pronounciation does make it sound like live (something in person), though i dont know about the Chinese pronunciation.

Im thinking they dont know there's two pronunciations for live. Theres a lot of English words like that...look the same, or very similar, sometimes mean very similar things or totally different, while some are said the same and other have diffences like bread and bred, live and l•i•ve and dinner and diner. As a native English speaker who's been speakin over 30yrs, sometimes I say a proper sentence and think *we really decided this was okay because it sounds absolutely ridiculous. I wouldnt want to learn this is adulthood* im a logical thinker...theres no logic to our language sometimes?! No that word doesn't make sense...use it anyway and pretend. Especially when you factor in our accents and dialect.

I think the sign is there because people thought it was a trash can, especially since it’s next to a recycling bin
I think it’s quite literally a world map, with the stereotypes written on each country. It’s most likely a map because it looks better visually than having them all in a list format.

I don't think the georgia pictured is the georgia the post is talking about

"because locals could use it to bypass the nearby N**i memorial to the martyrs of the 1923 Beer Hall Putsch, thus avoiding the requirement to perform a Hitler salute to the guarded structure"
