What a pile of steaming 💩. The initial premise was borderline believable, but a man found on his driveway, beaten, r@ped and set on fire would make the news. Conscientious Redditors could find nothing. As of update #1, it’s TV series fiction. Wife was admitted to a psych ward the same day - why? OP’s uncle’s law partner is a family friend, now the entire firm is representing OP in both civil (divorce) and criminal (attempted m****r) cases - this would have to be a mid-large firm to cover both branches of the law, no way an entire firm of this size be representing. And, again, no news stories. AP has a rap sheet that takes 5 mins to print out. Drúg dealer, past gang affiliations, on parole for time served for drúg related offences. Where does wife work that such a person would be her colleague? She’s mentally and emotionally abúsed their son. By the next update, she goes into court wanting “all the things” including visitation during divorce proceedings and cohabitation until everything is settled, why would she need visitation when she’s living there? Then we have the BIG REVEAL! Her lawyer wants to know how discovery of assets will work… only to be blindsided that there’s an IRON CLAD prenup, the family home was a gift to OP, they never blended finances except for that one joint account that has been drained etc, etc, blah, blah, blah. Oh! And the only reason she was sleeping with the criminal was to feed her drúg habit, which she tells OP in a letter, so now, he’s feeling a smidge sorry for her. Would make an ok police/crime series episode, but expecting folks to believe this without one single news report about the AP is patently absurd.

I had to look this up. It's a reference to the 1672 lynching of Dutch politician Johan de Witt, where parts of his body were consumed by an angry mob. 128,976 is the approximate number since the event occurred.

The first baby can come anytime, the second one always takes 9 months.

Hm, all the previous variants of this picture with the cat in this exact pose and the floorboards being the same the cat was a void instead of an orange. But I appreciate the big stretch nonetheless.

I like purple, but that's... too much. And the flooring and countertops look like a dámn oil spill.

Just one little point of order - " area near Berlin that became involved in the Battle of the Bulge." No, the battle of the Bulge was on the borders of France, Belgium and Luxembourg with Germany, nearly 500 miles away from Berlin.

Just a guess: Circe, pronounced [ˈsɜːrsi] in Modern English, in Ancient Greek was Κίρκη, originally pronounced [kír.kɛː]. The modern Greek spelling is the same but the pronunciation has evolved to something resembling "KIrke" (ie KEER-kee).

Her name is Lydia Fairchild

In German, you might also hear an exchange that roughly translates to: "thank you" "eh, not for that"
