The majority of Russian citizens are not in favour of the war in Ukraine, and those that are, do so because of the state controlled media and the propaganda Putin is putting out. Please understand that ordinary Russians have very little say in what happens as they live in fear due to Putins dictatorship. I am totally against the war in Ukraine, but feel it's really important to stand up for ordinary Russians who really aren't to blame. I guess I'll be downvoted for saying this but I believe it's important to make this clear.

Only if the child was a girl. Maternal DNA, MITOCHONDRIAL DNA, is passed down female to female. So a daughter will carry her first female relative from the very start of her line, from 10,000 years ago, in her DNA. VERY COOL!! Paternity, establishes the male DNA of the child and needs a male relative. So, you can use an uncle, the dad's father, or the baby's grandfather to check paternity.
