naaah... that's actually untrue. Like... mabye in really bad places where you really rely on modern tech stuff.. so you alone would be unable to get to the water with bare hands.... Some people would mabye get sick from drinking water witout cleaning it first... But in the end, these former military, that been in bad enviroment caused by constant bullying or being in country where they were considered an enemy are those, who'll intoxicate community around them if something like this happened. in reality majority of people would get together and help each other. Lot of people goes hiking, lot of people go hunting, shishing, lot o people know how to gardening, you'll make a community that would teach others and find a way to survive...
