20 years ago I thought "scent free" requests were just too precious for words. I couldn't believe my hand lotion actually made my coworker sick. I stopped using it, but it made me a little mad. I was so very, very wrong. The first time someone else's perfume made me vomit during a migraine I realized exactly how much of a beeatch karma could be (and yes, I deserved it). The couple has every right to ask for a scent free wedding.
Passing someone on the street or in a mall wearing a strong scent for a few seconds is one thing. You continue on, the air clears. Most hospitals, government buildings and offices (where I live anyway) are already fragrance free. And if you're in an enclosed space like a restaurant you can always leave without hurting anyone's feelings. But being in a room with multiple people wearing multiple strong scents for hours where you're obliged to stay or be seen as rude (like at a wedding) is another. Migraines are no joke...they're complex neurological events that can cause blurred vision, balance issues, nausea and memory loss, not to mention crippling pain. I can't really blame a bride for trying to avoid that on her wedding day.

70% of Pandas agree the bride's request is reasonable. The amount of chemical scents out there is insane and, as the article stated, 1/3 of people have sensitivities that can range from headaches to migraines and worse.
My dad was extremely allergic to certain perfumes and I have a more mild sensitivity .This is a completely legit request!

I'd wonder whether he was stealing them to smell them or whatever, or stealing them to wear them. If the latter, I'd suggest ordering over the Web.

Break up because of hair/beard style?! Must be really solid relationship 🤦🏼♀️ and "NONE of these changes were approved by the bride" since when it's for other people to dictate what kind of hair you can or can't have? 😡

Beat me to this comment. The "but not all men!" brigade is out in force.
Just some basic stats, and I'm basing this on a 2 second Google search. Men do indeed commit more violence against each other than against women, that's a given. But the point is, it's men committing the violence. In homicides alone worldwide men account for 95% of all convictions. NINETY FIVE. And "between 25 and 38% of women experience some sort of violence perpetrated by male partners (WHO, 2013a). In some regions of the world, as high as 66% of women report physical and/or s*xual violence victimization perpetrated by male partners at some point in their lives." (Source below) And that's the men they know, it doesn't account for random violence. No, not all men are like this, but we can't take the risk. Women have real reasons to be afraid and trust our guts. Men do too, but minimizing a woman's desire to protect herself doesn't change the reality that we need to do it.
