I'm so sorry. Glad he found you to give him a good home.
He had FIPS (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) a disease that is fatal in cats :'( They don't show signs of it until it hits them hard all of sudden. It's fast once the symptoms hit. I wrote a story about him on the top of the page before you get to the photos.

We found a kitten outside that we took care of the same way. When he was approx. 1 year old he got very sick and we found out he had FIV. We made the hard decision to put him to sleep and I was devasated. When I was crying about how sadly his life started out and how short his life was, my husband told me at least we found him took care of him and he didn't die without knowing what love was. Remebering that gives me comfort when I miss my lovely Murphy.
So sweet. I'm so very sorry for your loss. You did a wonderful thing.
