Refeeding syndrome occurs when you have been malnourished for a long time and your body has to readjust to having the proper nutrients but fails. The electrolytes in your body go out of balance and you end up quite sick (a bit like dehydration but worse).

I get 50% off my membership if I go regularly enough (3 times a month). It definitely helps keep me going to the gym. And I get points to spend on smoothies which act as a further incentive since I love smoothies.

Financial constraints are a big one for many people. Even outside the US. And in my case I keep forgetting the one med because the time I have to take it is hard for my brain to remember and varies depending on what time I eat dinner, which varies as to when the stomach growling overrides the ADHD hyperfocus.

Spent the last few years learning to heal from emotional neglect as a child and the cPTSD that led to. Still a long way to go but realising that what I went through growing up was not normal and was a***e and needs appropriate help from caring, trained professionals.

Pen testing is such an art form, having to figure out how the bad people think so you can attempt to hack into computers or physical buildings. In another life this would be my career.

I misread this as tablescraper at first and was rather confused why rich people would need someone to scrape the table at dinner parties. But someone making beautifully set up tables as a tablescaper makes more sense.

Stoicism Look, here's the thing about you: you've made peace with more than most people ever will, and you did it quietly, without asking for applause. You don't fight what you can't change, and honestly, that's rarer than it sounds. People probably come to you when things fall apart, because you're the one who doesn't fall apart with them. It's not that you don't feel things, you just refuse to let feelings run the show. The old Stoics would have handed you a robe and a reading list on day one.

Tried so many different hacks over the years. Then found out I have ADHD, now I have an impulse spend amount set aside each month and better understand how to control the impulses. If I go over that month there is less for the next month.

For any pandas who arrive here late. OP did end up with her nieces temporarily in her care after someone (not OP) called CPS but due to an ongoing investigation she cannot say anything more.

My parents had no choice but to take my sisters and I to school every day, walking was not an option and there was no public transport. Worst part was early high school and having to wait at school until my parents finished work.

Unless you live somewhere with an unreliable electricity supply. Then outage and been cut off are equally likely.

In my late 30s a friend told me I rocked my gray streak, still love having it in my 40s.

I have an essential tremor that gets worse when stressed which causes my handwriting to get more wobbly. I had to give my bank a sample of my signature when not stressed and when stressed so they would know it was always me signing it since the two were a bit too different for the bank employee.
