Her sensitivity to capturing the emotion of the moment, whether in a city street scene, a landscape, or the expression of an animal, comes from a long artistic path. Victoria Dael, born Victoria Belyakova in Moscow in 1982, studied architectural and spatial design before graduating from the art faculty of VGIK as an art director for film and television. Over the years, she has worked as an illustrator and storyboard artist, participated in exhibitions and international art projects, and lived and worked in Lviv, Ukraine, from 2015 to 2022, before settling in Andalusia, Spain, where she now lives and works. Drawing has remained central to her practice throughout, offering her a direct, immediate way to capture movement, mood, and fleeting emotion.
