Entitled Man Requests Gin For Free But Is Put In His Place By This Sarcastic Distillery Manager

People love freebies, and there are literally millions of examples of this in world history. And if there is something that people love more than a freebie, it is to appear entitled in front of their friends and acquaintances. Finally, if you add these two points, you get a real entitled combo!

The most interesting thing is that such a combo can be found at almost any level - from trying to arrange a free ticket to the Super Bowl VIP box for literally nothing, to the opportunity to get some free drinks for yourself and your friends... well, literally for nothing as well.

Another example of human cunning was recently presented by the Twitter account of The House of Botanicals, a popular distillery and taste room in Aberdeen, Scotland. The original tweet got almost 8.2K likes and more than 500 retweets while running the #greg special hashtag. And this is why...

The distillery manager received a direct message on Twitter from a certain Greg, who, apparently, considers himself an entitled person. The man asked if the distillery was interested in him writing a review about their activities.

The manager replied that if a person wants to write a review, he can always do it on the company's social networks, or maybe on TripAdvisor. Moreover, Greg was offered links to pages where he could leave a review.

Apparently, the manager was beginning to get suspicious when Greg asked if he could invite a few of his friends over for a tasting. However, the answer was quite friendly and informative - a link to the calendar of events, the cost of tasting, as well as various options for visitors.

And that's when Greg got right down to business! He asked how many people he could bring along for free, explaining that he was thinking of a few free tasting seats in return for his review.

The manager's response was almost genius: "Greg." The man, however, misunderstood this, deciding that only he could pass for free. Then the manager explained that "Greg" was said with exasperation. But Greg did not let up - he once again clarified whether the answer meant that he himself could come for free. And then, with good reason, he was called out with some curse words.

We, unfortunately, do not know how Greg reacted, and what his friends said to him, but we can admit that people on Twitter were delighted with the manager's reaction to this freebie lover. For example, one person said that although they do not drink, they will now recommend the company to all their friends, and another one noted that the manager’s answer simply deserves a round of applause.

And probably the most ingenious answer on this topic was also from Greg. True, another one. He stated that he immediately changed his name on Twitter and now goes by the name "Other Greg". Basically, don't be like Greg.
