Judging people by their favorite things is not new, especially now when friendships are made on the basis of one's favorite soda or social media platform. Things would be much easier if we'd get to automatically know someone's top 5 list, like their favorite meals, TV shows, or places to hang out in.
One Reddit user decided to put his own spin on the concept of 'top 5' and asked people to list five random things without revealing the category so he could guess it. "I thought it would be a fun thread to get other Reddit users having fun, where they'd all participate and make their own guesses at the funny things listed -- like the old "explain the plot of a film poorly" posts," he said Bored Panda. It turns out, it proved to be one of the hilarious threads in a while with some brilliant out of context replies and references. "I looked at the random topic list and figured out the answer, then did my best not to give that answer. I used to participate in a program called Odyssey of the Mind as a kid and it involved a section called the spontaneous problem," he explained how he came up with all the brilliant guesses.
