Just A simple question

I was a young mom, so I was still living with her after my baby was born. My bf at the time was living with his parents, but he came by during the day to help out, kinda.
I was suffering a lot from PPD, the mental and physical trauma of the labour, and feeling alone and heavily burdened with 95% of the parenting. (My mom helped out with some of the baby furniture.) It wasn't easy living with her. She has an explosive temper, she knows no boundaries and has some very outdated parenting tactics, and little regard for my physical well-being, and had very strict demands.
House had to be clean, spotless, tidy every day, all day, with all the laundry caught up and the dishes cleaned and a meal cooking before she got home. It was almost like living with a husband in the 1950s. But not those wholesome ones, where if a mistake was made everyone laughs. She expected me to have a perfectly symmetrical body, where one side is the same size as the other.
One day, she decided to have a formal lecture, shout-fest. Never let me speak or anything, as usual. I lost it. I screamed back at her so loud I'm sure the whole block hear. Good. It was then that she did her fake "okay, I'll be soft on you now, now that I made you cry." thing that she does.
