Hey Pandas, Share One Of The Best Memories You’ve Had With A Friend (Closed)

The best memory ever was when I had this huge crush on my best friend. Had a crush on him forever but always told myself I didn't. But then we were talking, and he said something of "what if you're the one?" as a joke because we were talking about him and his breakup with his now ex.
But him saying that kept me awake all night. I couldn't stop thinking about it. It made me realize just how much I like him. So then later I accidentally mentioned I had a crush on someone, which caused him to try to guess who my crush was...I gave him tiny hints but he did not get it. At one point he actually guessed himself but then laughed and said he was kidding. So all that made me think about him even more. Later I asked him if he really wanted to know. He said I didn't have to tell him who is was if I didn't want to. I said I kinda need to, so I told him. He was shocked. In 3 seconds, my mind was filled with thoughts. "What if this ends or friendship? What if it makes it super awkward" "Oh no, will he hate me now?" but.....he said the thing that surprised me most. That he likes me back. We talked about it, and now we are officially dating! I'm happy and he is the best guy ever. So much better then my ex. He is everything I thought my ex was and more.

My first true friend. CeeCee. She lived next door to the family I was a live in nany for. We were both 13, sitting on the porch swing watching her cat roll in the dirt. I told her about my friend’s brother messing with my feelings and she said “if he really cared, you wouldn’t feel like s**t. Pick me and I’ll show you that you deserve better.” And then she kissed me and said “people who think you matter, don’t make you feel like you don’t.” At the time I thought she was the absolute smartest chick I’d ever met. We snuck around “dating” for a few months til my mom saw us kiss and I never saw CeeCee again. It took me way too long to fully understand what she said but I haven’t forgotten her or her strangely deep words.

It was during SXSW music convention in Austin TX, about 20 years ago: I was thrown out of a bar on 6th Street on a Saturday night, along with 3 gal friends. We wrist passes to see 100s of bands in clubs, we'd stay for the end of one, the beginning of the next, then move to the next bar. My gal friends found bar stools and proceeded to sit a long time. I just HAD to see/hear other bands. Every place was packed so bouncers had to count heads -- only when someone left could someone else go inside . . . SO . . . I paid the bouncer $40 to throw me out, and my friends with me. Outside he pointed to me and said "Don't come back!" I do not drink, smoke or do drugs, and I'm nice to people. Gals NEVER did find out what happened. But I love to say I was thrown out of a bar in Austin, Texas on a Saturday Night!

This happened less than a month ago, but I'm sure it'll stick with me forever. We had our first orchestra contest early this March and the bus ride to the school we were playing at was about an hour. The ride there was pretty normal, my friends and I just being weirdos and singing Hamilton songs. The heat in the bus was on cause it was cold that day, and by the time we got to the school, my and my friend's legs were fried from the heater under the seat. So we go in, we perform, we come back out. Needless to say, it had been an exhausting day and we were all tired and ready to sleep. Plus they had turned off the heat in the bus so it was pretty chilly. The three of us then decided to crowd onto one bus seat (that was only meant for two) and use each other as heat sources and pillows so we can rest and not freeze to death. It works pretty well, and I could practically feel our bond getting stronger.

That party at Niamh’s where I meet Declan… we were listening to the music. Not bad but not that I like. And I looked at his TShirt. It was flocked with « Stairway to heaven lyrics ». « Great one ! » I said… that how it started :)

The one time my friend and I were in my pool, messing around, and eating Oreos. I vividly remember that she came up behind me in the shallow end and said, “I have an Oreo” then I turned around, started laughing and also in the process started choking on the Oreo that I took a bite of. It was one of the best memories I have with this one particular friend!

I have two, one with my best friend and one with my best guy friend.
It was a night at youth group and we were ending worship when a kid a couple feet in front of us had his hands in his pants reaching way down there behind him (probably fixing his shorts under sweats), anyways we thought that was the absolute funniest thing. We dropped to the floor crying laughing. There’s so many funny and great moments to remember with her but that’s one of the best.
With my guy best friend, it was actually recently when I was able to see him again after the whole covid situation. Little bit of backstory: His mom was very very vulnerable with her immune system and going through chemotherapy made it worse. It’s just him, his mom and little sister (12yo) because his dad passed a while ago from brain cancer. Long story short I wasn’t able to hang out with him in person because we didn’t want to risk giving anything to his mom. Just the other day I was able to hang out with him and at the end of talking about many stories from the time we stopped hanging out til now, he motioned for a hug. It was one of the most exhilarating and emotional moments for me because it was something we always did when I had to go back home. We hugged for maybe 10 minutes, tears and all it was one of the best moments and I still think about it to this day.

I was hanging out with a really good guy friend and we were at our school’s farm. Our head of intern gave us a job to go check the cattle in the wetlands to make sure the gates that need to be shut were shut and that they had a good water source. As we drove out that way, jamming to the truck’s radio playing chicken fried by zac brown band, we got to the gate and hopped out and looked over the cattle. After we looked em over we were walking back to the truck, he opened the door, I got in and he went over and did the same for himself. I remember he looked over at me and we sat there in silence just looking into each other’s eyes. He grabbed my hip, pulled me in and kissed me. Then he said “Sorry I couldn’t help myself.” I was IN SHOCK, like I just sat there and smiled like an idiot. He then proceeded to say “You don’t know how long I’ve wanted to do that”
Now we’re talking and he’s one of the best guys ever. Sounds like a fairytale
