Everyone has at least one dream that they remember. Dreams are based on thoughts that you have in the back of your mind while sleeping, or experiences you or someone you know has gone through. Things happening outside your dream can seep in too, like sounds or voices. Sometimes you mumble things as you are dreaming. Sometimes you move in your sleep. If you like to remember your dreams, some people keep a 'dream journal' to record their dreams right after they wake up. Dreams can give you insight into your deepest fears, and the goals you have are reflected there too. Dreams are not usually remembered after waking. There is no such thing as a dreamless sleep.
