English speaker here. Simply spending time with native speakers from a certain area will affect your speech, so if you one particular area's accent/slang, spend time with people from that area. It will absolutely affect your speech, leading you to sound like the native speakers in question. Good luck learning this mess of a language! :)

I speak American/Canadian English.
Slur the words together just a bit, to make them more casual. American's don't say "I want to eat," they say stuff more like "Eyy wanna eat."
Don't pronounce stuff too clearly. Words we use commonly aren't even pronounced how they are spelled. For example the word "to" is pronounced "tu" in normal conversation, or "the" is "thu."
The reason for this is that we don't like putting harsh sounds on the end of words and working too hard...so we soften it so that it slurs into the rest of the sentence.
