Hey Pandas, What’s A “This Should Be Free” Service That Always Costs Money?

Parking at hospitals

Primary and secondary education.

Required/educational reading, specifically for schooling.

Basic shelter and food.

Getting your $ from ANY atm. It's my money and I need some and I resent paying $2 to access my money.

Public Transport, at least the normal stuff like buses and slower trains. It's way too expensive in Germany.

Admin fees, when you've done all the admin yourself.

U.S. healthcare!! Or at the least, medicines to those who need to take it everyday just to live such as insulin.

This is not quite on point with the question, but why is everything so expensive? I understand nothing is free, no should it be. But why is my car insurance the price of rent when I'm a good driver? If I pay a monthly premium for healthcare, why do I pay extra for that care? I know the answer because I live in the US. Just throwing my two cents in.
