I was at the market at the butcher counter and asked a very young butcher what is the difference between a shoulder ham and a pic-nic ham. His answer was one is pork and the other is beef! The other more experienced butchers burst out laughing at the poor kid, while he turned bright red and said Whaaat?

Several years ago I was outside the restaurant I worked taking a break. One of my coworkers, 'Butters' was also taking a break. It's not important to the story but this guy nicknamed himself Butters and requested everyone to call him that. He was an annoying and strange fellow, but anyway. He was gabbing away about bulls**t as usual. He was going on and on about the algae that was on the ground by a pipe. I wasn't participating in the conversation until I heard him say "Ya' know, algae is just liquid mold really." This wasn't a joke, he even argued his point when I questioned it. It's been over 10 years, and occasionally that comment will cross my mind. I still don't understand how he could think that.
