Self righteous people on social media sites, or places like boredpanda who feel the need to make every comment some how about their personal political biases. I mean, we get it. You didn't vote like other people did. You keep telling everyone about that like it's something special? Want a ribbon? Now, how do you feel about the actual subject matter being discussed or presented, and how the heck does your political choices have any bearing on why that cute cat is playing with a mouse?

The term 'ick' seems almost self-defining. Not something I've come across outside of BP and similar media. Anyone using such a term would immediately and automatically be giving it to me.

And even within its own narrow confines, it seems that it's already being misused, like in the first post here, which is just something that the poster finds irritating or annoying. Doesn't "giving the ick" imply something that makes you feel ill or at least disgusted?

People projecting their f-ing insecurities onto others and also being self-righteous about it at the same time. Ya know, classic bully complex; narcissism.

My biggest ick is when people call without sending a text or without asking if I am available. I be like - would you read an email with a subject? Please tell me the purpose of your call, the reason and what we will be talking about....

There’s that whole category of people who (mostly) are antivxxers, homophobes, etc. The usual annoying mix. Them. They give me the ick. They give it to me so bad.

Booktok, too. I didn’t realise p**n was an acceptable form of “literature” now. And no, it shouldn’t be. It’s usually a stain on literature’s name, though there are some exceptions, like The Book Thief (beautiful book, btw).

All the new gen z/ gen alpha nonsensical trends: alpha males, rizzlers etc. I shudder to even type that out.

The smell of dirty hair. Some people have taken the advice not to wash their hair too frequently to the extreme. There are some women in my office who smell gross and they're nose-blind, so they have no idea. One came over to my desk to see something on my computer screen, and I felt sick to my stomach. I even had an occurrence where I got onto an empty elevator and apparently someone with dirty hair had been in there recently, because it reeked. Washing your hair every other day is one thing, but after a few days you should assume that it smells bad and could use a wash, even if you can't smell it.
