Hey Pandas, When Did You Realize You Were In Love With Your Current Partner? (Closed)

For me it was just one day about 2-3 months into dating I had this overwhelming thought “I’m gonna marry this guy”. 2 years later we’re engaged and living together and he’s the best thing to ever happen to me.

We were sitting on the top of a playground (that we were too old to be on) drinking sodas that I payed for in quarters, and laughing about the fact that our friend (who was also there) thought that cumulonimbus was pronounced cum-you-low-nim-bus. I looked over at her for a second and that's when it hit me. She looked so beautiful and happy. Then lighting and rain started, and we ran back to our bikes and rode back to my house because it was closest. We were friends at the time.
This was a while ago, and we're dating now.

So A background. “She” is a “good girl,” is smart, gets good grades, passes classes, every teacher loves her.
“He” is the exact opposite. Every teachers nightmare, “bad boy” ( if you are from america you probably know the terms good girl and bad boy in love stories)

His sister died by suicide. It wasn’t his fault, at all. Something about teasing and bullying and harassing. His sister never told anyone. But basically yea.

Anyway, his grades were pretty low, and he got a really bad grade on the midterm. He was allowed to take the test again after a lot of pleading, but he would have to be tutored. He always though had a dream to go to the University of Michigan. But his grades squashed that hope.

She wanted to qualify for this program thingy. But she had to tutor someone. So she signed up to help be a student to student tutor.

They met. She was his tutor. And he was also broke, but he got a job and raised some good money. Eventually, he asked her on a date. She said yes. So they went, and they had dinner at someplace. And like that their relationship grew. But what I’ve heard is that one day they visited his sister’s grave. And it was really sad. But he said that he looked at her (the girl from the story, not his sister) and saw worry and sadness and concern in her eyes, and she was looking at him. That’s when they realized they love each other.

Flash forward, both she and him are in cal-tech. She helped him so much. And he helped her also, or so she says. She says he taught her never to assume anyone is bad or good until you know them. They have been together for years and I hear plans of a proposal coming soon from him… they say when they go from college he will take her to the school where it all started and give the speech thing and pull out a ring and… I’ll keep this updated and for her answer.

We had been dating for a few weeks, and we were at his parents house. His grandma came to visit, and he went outside to escort her in. I knew then that if he would treat women in his family with such respect, he would treat me that way as well. We've been married for 37 years.

I was in a LDR with my husband, and at the very beginning of our relationship, like couple months in, we had an argument. No clue what it was but it was a minor misunderstanding blown up by distance - I believe jealousy related. He came on occasion to my hometown and this time he told my sister he was in town and coming to pick me up. I was at a dilemma should I go or not. I decided to go, but gave him the silent treatment - I firmly believed I was right for being mad (still - no idea what it was about). I got the silent treatment too. We drove for hours in complete silence, all over my city. He pulled over and said "I'll just step out to get some gum and smokes". Reader, I swear, something clicked right then, sounds idiotic but the fact that he drove all this way to see me, lost his time (he could have been doing anything else) and money (gas) to spend time with me to fix whatever was broken between us made me realize this was a person I wanted to keep in my life forever. He never proved me wrong (he'll always go out of his way for me and I do the same to this day)

First night. We got set up by a mutual friend in college. Not expecting anything serious. We took pictures all night together, talked about dragon ball z and UFC. On the way from dinner and drinking, she was in the backseat, I was in the passenger seat. I reached back and held her hand. Instant tingles and connection. 10 years later we have a beautiful life and a beautiful family.

I was sitting alone inside a fast food joint waiting for my mate to finish work and it hit me.. “oh my god I’m in love.” It hit me so hard I felt dizzy. It took me a minute to get a proper breath of air in. When I think back on it, it still shocks me, how deeply our thoughts can effect us.

So, I've been going to this church where I live for a few years now, and being in a military family it's pretty tough to make friends. But I've gotten pretty tight with this youth group here. Fast forward a couple years and we meet this kid down the street, they just moved in (we live on base), and him and my siblings become fast friends. I've heard about his family, but never met them. A few weeks later they actually start coming to our church, and the kicker, I see this older brother whom I've heard is such a loser. Dude, I swear I've never been more attracted to someone. But we never talked. I would awkwardly like... star at him when no one was looking lol. Then, a bunch of awkward mishaps later (not gonna get too much into it, but our families basically made it as awkward for us as possible), we end up carpooling to church. So we kinda have to talk as we're all in a small car together. Find out we have lots in common. Fast forward like a week and I loan him a book he's wanted to read, he texts me that evening saying he'll buy me one he wanted me to read (🥰, I know). He brings it over, I read it fast, and long story short he invites me on an evening walk. He was so nervous he knocked his watch off, I was visibly shaking lol. We start going for walks every evening. Later at church, I notice I'm jealous anytime these certain girls were talking to him. I know them, I know they kinda just get in people's space as that's who they are, but I felt a twinge of jealousy nonetheless. I realized I loved him on our next few walks, but couldn't find the courage to tell him. Eventually I did though! Our one year anniversary was this last 4th of July!

TL;DR, it was basically love at first sight lol
