David Allegretti and his mate Sean decided to conduct a little social experiment. They wanted to know just how far they could get by wearing official-looking hi-vis jackets. And based on his findings that he wrote up in an article for Vice, it seems that they got pretty far indeed.
"There's just something about uniforms that garner an almost naive trust," wrote David. "People trust uniforms. Most of us obey the word of those clad in uniforms." First they tried to walk straight into a movie theater without paying, and guess what? It worked. Next they tried their luck at the zoo, where once again they waltzed straight in without a hitch. Deciding to up their game, they headed for a Coldplay concert. Know what happened? Read on to find out.
