I Decided To Stop Painting Women With Their Eyes Open.

I am a visual artist based out of San Diego and a couple years ago I wanted to make a series of paintings where the male gaze didn't play an important role in the meaning of the pieces. I wanted to paint women having spiritual experiences, completely unbothered by outside forces. So, I stopped painting them with their eyes open. I haven't painted a human eye since 2016. Here are a few of those pieces.
