I observe her closely as we walk, and she is telling me about alchemy and her job as a pharmacist. The perfect curve of her lips, the scarlet bloodlike lipstick, the look that makes men propose marriage after the first date - sometimes even before that. The drama suits her. Her fire-red hair blazes among the dead trees. The field of attraction that she creates is as strong as a vice, like the darkness of an autumn evening. We reach the location. She starts to undress. Of course, she is not shy. Her skin is white as pearl - it shines gently in the darkness of the winter forest.
At this point, I already know the answer to my question, but I delay asking it just a bit longer. I've been close to people like her before. There is a strong urge growing in me to peek into their mind and see what they hide in there, how they think. I want to know!
"When were you born?" - I casually ask.
