After reading several blog posts about how beautiful Georgia (the country) is, I booked a flight to Tbilisi with the hopes of reaching the Kazbegi region. One of the most unfortunate things happened - I arrived in Georgia on a bad weather and the road to Kazbegi is not accessible to motorists.

It was raining when my-selfie-stick-and-I arrived in Georgia.
Looking at the window of marshrutkas while traversing the road to the first capital of Georgia...
...I saw sheeps. Many of them.
Even worse, the rain went bad up at Gori Fortress.
But I still found a few Georgian houses that are worth the photograph.
I was hopeful when we arrived at Uplistsikhe...
...the oldest city carved in a rock. But where are the Flinstones?
So I walked near the river...
... and we ran some more.
We climbed the rocks to get a view from the top.
And this beautiful view showed up!
Not even the locals hated the rain, it was amazing.
And so we left and went to Gori...
..and searched for more rustic doors...
...and buildings with a character...
...and a few abandoned shops.
Even the view from outside Svetitskhoveli Cathedral is drop dead gorgeous...
...what more if you go up the hill at Jvari Monastery.
Mountains are everywhere...
...even if you park your car at the strangest places.
And that, my friends, is how I fell in love with Georgia on a rainy day of March.
