"Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting," representatives said in the statement.
"They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is - and always will be - raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect."
"Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life."
Their breakup had allegedly been "a long time coming," as their relationship had been rocky for months.

News of their split comes after reports that Katy and Orlando had been spending "more and more time apart" and weren't "living the same lives anymore," as per Us Weekly.
Their marital troubles were "unspoken," another source claimed, adding that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor had been keeping his struggles "close to the vest."
