We love to travel and go on adventures, now we want to bring the adventure to Kansas. I found a former Atlas E Missile Base hidden in the Flint Hills when I was 10. It's now known as Subterra Castle, having been transformed into a beautiful, private residence by Ed and Dianna Peden. My wife and I are excited to share this amazing space with the Airbnb community.
Subterra Castle has been featured on National Geographic's Doomsday Prepper's, the Discovery Channel, CNN, and even Oprah. Now we are giving you the chance to see what it's like to live underground.

Climb the castle towers for beautiful views of the Flint Hills, sunsets, or stargazing. This Castle tower is located on top of a 400 ton blast door over the Missile Bay.
Experience the peace and quiet of sleeping underground. The private Airbnb suite has a comfy King sized bed, and bunk beds for family or friends.
The former generator room is now used for music, dancing, concerts and events.
The former Launch Control room is now a living room representing all the peaceful religions of the world.

Explore underground tunnels - 100 ft. tunnel leads from the Missile Bay to the Launch Control Center, which has been transformed into a beautiful home.
