I traveled through the southern states of the USA from Washington DC to Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee. 2200 miles on the road and the burning sun with me. Along the way I captured these abandoned gas stations. Many of them were shut down due to financial reasons because these days people travel on the interstates and not on the small highways anymore. Some of them have been sitting there for a couple of decades and I assume they will sit there until a hurricane or something else tears them down.
Along the way I met some great folks that I will share soon in my next post together with some stories.
