Those who have ever used inkjet printers know the struggle of replaceable ink cartridges very well. Both the cost and refilling of these can eventually result in quite an annoyance. Sometimes people get so fed up, that they decide to get a brand new printer instead of buying a new cartridge every time it runs out of ink. That's exactly what Siti Mashita's parents did and vent viral for it.

Recently Malaysian parents went viral for surprising their daughter by buying her a new printer instead of ink cartridges
Siti runs a small handmade scrunchie business and uses her printer extensively. One day when she ran out of ink, she asked her parents to get her a new cartridge.

However, their response was unbelievable. Instead of getting the cartridge, Siti's parents surprised her with a brand new printer. Siti was stoked when her dad sent her a photo of her mom holding it.

"Suddenly, my dad sent me a picture of my mom posing confidently next to a printer and said, 'Mom already bought it,'" Siti told BuzzFeed News
After the story went viral, Siti was contacted by HP Malaysia and received a lovely gift from them

Clearly, she was pretty excited about the upgrade. "At home, they said they bought it because it's a lot more convenient than the old printer," she said. So she decided to share it with her Twitter followers and it quickly went viral. People were impressed with her parent's surprise and some even joked that it's cheaper to buy a new printer than a new ink cartridge.

After Siti went viral as "printer girl" she was contacted by HP Malaysia, that decided to send her a little gift.
