In “Nude Frames”, the Brazilian photographer Paulo Vieira presents a series of self-portraits inspired by the ideas of the Greek philosopher Plotinus, which affirms that beauty in the corporeal world is not limited only to symmetrical forms and harmonious proportions, it depends on the collaboration of a concept.
“In ‘Nude Frames’ I try to express small clippings of contemporary dance movements through the photographic technique of long exposure and overlapping textures. The title of the work is based on the analogy of the ‘mold’ of body consciousness acquired in my passage through dance”, explains the photographer.
