Had a rather young patient who ignored a small brown spot until it became a bigger black spot that turned into an even bigger black lump, that then started causing their leg to swell. They finally went to the doctor when they couldn’t get it to stop bleeding. By then it was too late. They passed away from metastatic melanoma less than 2 months later.
