The OP was confused and did not know what to do. Her husband was very upset, and when his mother left to talk, she tried to explain what had really happened - but the man did not believe her. Then the wife called the MIL, putting her on speaker and asking why she tried to frame her.

As a result, the husband heard for himself how his mother said she did so deliberately to break them up, just showing how this woman allegedly could not be relied upon in a difficult situation. The man got extremely angry and forbade his mother to visit him in the hospital at all - who, as a result, later accused the OP of manipulating.

Agreeing that hospital food is far from the most exquisite in the world, people noted that demanding a steak from his wife was not the best idea, and it would have been worth immediately taking his wife's side in this conflict.
