Self-described as "a writer who draws," Genna Masia creates relatable comics in black and white with a dash of color. She began drawing comics to reflect on life in lockdown, with the hope of making people laugh during lonely times.
1. Your closest companions have become half-dead houseplants.
2. You’ve been cooking a little more frequently, so by default, you’re a chef who has yet to be discovered by the culinary world.
3. You’ve tried to run outside, but you often fall into an Internet black hole that sucks you back into the couch, and oh look, more snacks!
4. You’ve used water bottles/a human being as weights while trying to work out.
5. You’ve complained about having zero motivation while working from home, but then you got laid off with the other 36.5 million people in the U.S.
6. You’ve looked forward to socially distant visits from your friends, who are now the animals in your parents’ backyard, who you are convinced collectively hate you, but at least one of them is easier on you than the others.
7. You’ve entertained yourself with countless activities, which in turn, deems you nothing short of a creative genius.
8. You’ve had wine-filled, candle-lit dinners and existential crises with your house pet.
9. You’ve gotten all dressed up to spend the night with the unemployment claims center, and when a human answered at last, it was literally the most action you’ve gotten in months.
