Working as an office manager, he receives all the packages that are delivered to the company he works at.
That means ALL the packages from everyone in the office. (That's a lot of them, especially during Christmas time.)
He noticed that their trashcans and offices were full plastic rubble. You know, all the different kinds of plastic junk that keeps the items inside the package safe from being damaged.

Currently there’s about 8.300.000.000 metric tons of plastic on our planet. Of this, 79% is waste and posing a direct threat to our planet. And the problem is getting worse by the day.
By 2020 more than 2 billion people will be using parcel services to send packages around the world. While positive for our economy, the plastic inside those packages will only add to the gigantic plastic waste that has already permanently affected our biosphere.
That's why this office manager came up with Airship.
He replaced all the plastic with one inflatable shell that uses air to protect the contents of packages. It is not only a lot cheaper but also more sustainable, because air is a resource that’s quite abundantly available.
Right now, we throw out the plastic rubble and cardboard boxes. He's goal is now to get everyone to create cardboard boxes that can easily be re-used.
He is already attracting the interest of retailers and shipping companies to turn the idea behind Airship into reality and scale it. With their (and your) support it might become the next Ocean Cleanup which also started as a wild idea before it became a full-fledged solution that has received support from all around the globe.
Plastic solution will be a problem for decades to come, but if we change our way of working now, our children can still inherit a green-and-blue planet instead of a plastic one.
