Some TV shows make you laugh, some make you cry, and then there are the ones that leave you staring at the screen in disbelief. That’s exactly what happened when Channel 4 released “1,000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story.”
The documentary follows 26-year-old Tia Billinger, known professionally as Bonnie Blue, an English adult actress who set out in January 2025 to break the world record for the most sexual partners in one day, claiming to have slept with 1,057 men in 12 hours.
Among the many viewers was one Redditor, who sat down to watch it with a few friends. But their movie night quickly turned awkward when they recognized one of the men in the challenge—the fiancé of a close friend, who was eight months pregnant at the time.

Who is Bonnie Blue?
If you’ve been anywhere near the internet lately, you’ve probably seen her name, often paired with a headline that makes you stop scrolling.
Bonnie Blue is a 26-year-old adult actress whose controversial stunts and unapologetic persona have kept her in the spotlight, and the recent Channel 4 documentary about her has only fueled the conversation.
But how did the star first make a name for herself?
Blue was born in May 1999 in Stapleford, Nottinghamshire, and never knew her biological father. She was raised by her mother and stepfather and worked in finance recruitment for the National Health Service before her life took a very different turn.
Bored with the “9 to 5” grind, she decided to make a change. After the pandemic, in 2022, she married her long-time partner Ollie and moved to Australia (the marriage later ended, but as Blue told Cosmopolitan, her ex-husband still helps behind the scenes).
With his encouragement and the support of her mother and stepfather, Blue tried webcam modeling, earning US$5,000 in her first week and £8,000 in her first month.
The strong start motivated her to launch an OnlyFans page, where she began posting videos with 18- and 19-year-old men, whom she found near universities and student hot spots after posting her location online.
Her bold moves caught up with her—in November 2024, her visas in Australia and Fiji were cancelled for working without the proper permits.
When Channel 4 announced “1,000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story,” it promised an inside look at the event that made her infamous. But its release sparked heated debates, not only over the explicit nature of the footage but also over whether someone with her history should be given such a platform.
“Channel 4 has sunk a new low,” said one X user. “Why is there a documentary on Bonnie Blue? Why are they trying to normalize her deviancy on national television?”
Channel 4 defended its choice, with Euronews reporting: “The explicit content in the documentary is editorially justified and provides essential context.”
Commissioning Editor Tim Hancock shared, “I believe it is Channel 4’s job to tell stories like this, trying to get behind the truth of the headlines. We film real stories in real time. We are very proud to do films like this.”
Still, some critics felt the film lacked depth. David Mouriquand of Euronews wrote that audiences “see how Blue prepares for her infamous world record,” but added: “What you don’t get in this documentary, however, is any proper insight into the polarizing Blue or the way the content creator deals with being accused of being an agent of the patriarchy and the numerous insults thrown her way.”
What’s more, the fallout from the documentary has proven to be more than just chatter online. As it made the rounds, some viewers, including the one who shared her story on Reddit, began recognizing their own partners among the men who took part, leaving behind a trail of hurt and betrayal.
And Bonnie Blue shows no sign of slowing down.
After the 1,000 men challenge, she revealed an even more provocative idea: a “petting zoo” event where she’d be naked and tied up inside a glass box in a private London house, aiming to sleep with 2,000 men. That announcement got her banned from OnlyFans for breaking the platform’s rules against “extreme challenges.”
