So, speaking of short-term partners, among women in this survey the leader is 'attractive face', then kindness and confidence. For men, accordingly, the most important factors here are 'attractive body' and 'attractive face' - that is, mainly physical features. Yes, the criteria vary greatly, but sometimes it happens that short-term relationships develop into long-term ones - and then we desperately wonder why the person with whom it was so good at the beginning turns out to be completely different in the long run...

“In fact, all these criteria that people love to talk about are all great, but often things don’t work like that at all,” says Irina Matveeva, a psychologist and certified NLP specialist from Ukraine, whom Bored Panda asked for a comment here . "You always need to remember two things. First, we are not choosing a new car or smartphone, and in the case of relationships, all impeccable logical reasonings often go straight to hell. Secondly, it can always happen that the perfect match, as it seems from our side, doesn’t look like that at all from the side of a possible partner.”
