Ah, but you see she was Sleeping While Black, which, as we know, is a crime in the USA. (Obvious sarcasm remains obvious, one hopes)

54 Public Monuments That Became Famous For All The Wrong Reasons
54 Public Monuments That Became Famous For All The Wrong Reasons

As others have said, this is called 'The Sphere', and it is in Las Vegas, Nevada. *What you might NOT know is*, this is not merely a giant Emoji - that entire spherical surface is A DYNAMIC VIDEO DISPLAY! The interior of this thing is an entertainment venue, with stage, seats, lighting, sound system, the whole nine yards. And the exterior can display any video feed you pump into it - although tweaking the feed for a *spherical* display is a non-trivial process, as I understand it. The sheer amount of electricity to drive the display is gargantuan, and I imagine the power required to coordinate the spherical video feed is also considerable. There's no doubt that it is a most impressive technological tour-de-force, but I'm not completely convinced that it's worth it.
