Regardless of the neighbor believing it is his garden a calm conversation stating that past and now future damages will be recompensed by the courts, in the states trees are extremely highly valued, could calm him down. Especially facing a serious loss of upwards of tens of thousands of dollars.

Your parents are active alcoholics. They need help. Plain and simple and it's NOT your responsibility or job to do so. You are in the right. I hope they get treatment but if they do or don't, it's not on you. Stay the course.

Everyone giving OP advice about playing stupid dangerous games with her husband, seriously??? Fkg STOP!! Do you know, absolutely that he won't come home and harm her? That she is 100% safe from DV? Will you be there to help her? To keep her from being beaten or worse? Yea, you think you're being clever now, but what if she followed your idiotic suggestions and he came home after 3 weeks enraged? Just STFU because if she gets hurt it's on you!! She needs to report it to the police and tell him innocently that she found a suspicious tracker and reported it to the police to be safe. Let them and him deal with it. She's innocent and God I hope she doesn't listen to any of you suggesting ridiculous ideas that can get her hurt.

At this point, it's not up to you. Your first born is a 20 yr old adult. Depending on the ages of your other children, if they are old enough to understand, I would sit everyone down and explain what was done to you and your husband. How it made you feel. How you feel about your family and let them know what your family has asked for. Let them decide. Your deciding for them is as bad as they having decided for you. No matter what each decides, respect their right to either meet their grandparents or not to. Leave your pain out as much as you can.

They're always on here the YTA brigade. I swear it's just trolling. Fools honestly. This young girl is the only one who's got her head screwed on! That doesn't mean she's able to look after a child with certain disability's

I am nearly80 year old, and therefore earlier than a "boomer", and my children are in their fifties. I'm afraid I take mild offence at classing all older people as "boomers". Also I have never in my life had any racial hatred or dislike for anyone, I am just so interested in people from a different lifestyle, and love to learn. My parents were, I found out in college when I was dating a Kenyan Indian, quite racist. I have never understood racism, but I do object to the ageism that lumps all us older people together.
